Who Am I RequirementsObjective:
All students will be able to create a self portrait that expresses personal beliefs and moods by emphasizing color and text, while recognizing characteristics and expressive features of art and make justifications through speaking or writing about their art. Directions: For this assignment, you are using yourself as the model to convey a strong message: Who am I? This will be conveyed through color, multiple layers, text, and texture. Step 1: Find a great, high resolution picture. What do you want your facial feature to be? Where do you want to be? Step 2: Do some research on color meanings. Who are you? What color or colors connect to who you are? Some great links are found here and here. Step 3. Write two sentences in your sketchbook next to your planning for this piece about why you chose the color that you did. Step 4: Step by step written instructions are here. Step 5: Once completed, post on your own website with a written description of what the color means, why you picked this particular photograph, and what you actually learned. |
