What are you doing:
By the end of class on block day all students in drawing will have finished their collage and turned it in via their website. Students in computer should have moved on to the third mini tutorial. Why are you doing this: Students in computers need to know the basic operations of Photoshop before getting really creative...that's why you need to learn these tutorials. Students in drawing are mastering composition...if you know how to visually communicate, you will go far! How are you doing this: (Computers) First: watch demonstration with O'Ryan on how to put together the 3rd mini tutorial. Second: Get to work yourself figuring it out. (Drawing) First: lay out all the parts of the collage on the paper. Where is the focal point? How do you know? Second: ask your neighbor to identify your focal point. If they can't find it..this is a problem. Third: Rework..reevaluate...complete. Due by Block Day.

What are you doing:
By the end of class all students will have worked on their surreal room or the collage...and have a pretty good start on these. Computer kids: if I were you, I'd be almost done with the floor and ready to add in the painter guy. I can help you with this, so just ask. Why are you doing this: It's studio day. So utilize this time to be creative. This requires some concentration. How are you doing this: First: Get your papers out for the collage. Second: computer kids: open up that surreal room and pull out those notes. Rely on each other. Third: have some fun being creative. I'm here for you today.
What are you doing:
All students will begin working on their first project. Before getting started, answer the Padlet check in Question. Worth 10 pts. O'Ryan will work with the computer group today. Drawing Students will be researching ideas and begin collecting images or various colors out of magazine. Why are you doing this: Padlet question: do you really know what you are doing? If so, prove it. Working on first project: it's time to rip off the band-aid and start working. You got this. How are you doing this: First: Answer Padlet question. Second: Work on your project.
What are you doing: All students will know which group you will start for the semester. Some will start in computers and some in the drawing groups. At the mid point, March 14-15, YOU will switch to the other group. EVERYONE WILL COMPLETE ALL PROJECTS...JUST NOT AT THE SAME TIME. Why are you doing this: There are not enough computers in here to have you all work on the same project at the same time...therefore you are split into TWO groups. How are you doing this: First: Establish groups. Move to prospective areas.
Second: look over deadlines for each project assigned to your group. Write deadlines in your planner for success and planning. Want that A, write the deadline down in your planner.
Third: review assignments. What are you doing? Why am I doing this? What do I need? What are you doing:
All students will know the expectations of this class...like how do I ask to go to the bathroom...how to post your drawing to your website, and how to create an adobe spark. Why are you doing this: You need to know the rules in here so you don't break them, you need to know how to post a picture to your website, and you need to know how to set up an Adobe Spark page. All easy but seriously, you need to know how to do this. How are you doing this: First: Let's talk about my five expectations, that are posted in the room. 5-7 mins. Second: Let's practice taking pictures via our phone and posting them to your website...so that you know how to post your projects . Let's get those A's. Yes! 5-7 mins. Third: Homework page is under Research. You will study six artists and post this on Adobe Spark. Let's learn how. However long this takes, let's do it. What are you doing:
By the end of class, all students will have started the beginning of a beautiful tree. Why are you doing this: Hey...at present you do not think you are a great artist. I'm going to change that impression. How are you doing this: Grab some pastels, a piece of paper, and some colored pencils. You can do this.
Today you will take a pre-test.
It's time to show how much you know presently! You will take the Media Arts Pre-test...but first you need to log into your school provided email. School email: [email protected] Password: birthdate. 2 digit month/2 digit day/4 digit year Then...access the Media Arts Pre-test here. or here:
