All students will take a break from the normal routine and compete in teams demonstrating how much they have learned so far in the semester. Why are you doing this: We need a break. Let's have some fun showing how much we have learned as a group. How are you doing this: 1. Form five teams. 2. One person is the leader of the phone. How are you doing this: (Drawing) Carve. But be safe please. Carve away from yourself and remember to heat up the plate. All students in drawing will continue carving and computer kids will learn how to put together the Who am I project using Photoshop. All students in drawing have started carving and computer kids will read over the directions of the the Who am I project, researched color meanings and answered padlet question at bottom. Why are you doing this: Students in drawing are learning with a greater depth how contour lines can create depth or value to an image and students in computers will discover how color relays meaning and messages subconsciously. How are you doing this: (Drawing) Carve. But be safe please. Carve away from yourself and remember to heat up the plate. Computers: research color meanings found in the directions on the Who am I project. FYI: All mini tutorials were due last Friday. Do I have your website url? If not, email me. What are you doing:
All students in drawing will know the basic first steps of the Printmaking Map Portrait Project by the end of class on Monday and begun carving by block day. All students in computers will have completed all three mini tutorials by the end of class on Friday. Why are you doing this: Students in computers need to know the basic operations of Photoshop before getting really creative...that's why you need to learn these tutorials. Students in drawing are going to learn about design through linoleum printmaking, a fun medium to use. How are you doing this: (Drawing) First: watch demonstration with O'Ryan on how to create a portrait in Illustrator, copy this to a piece of linoleum, and begin carving. Second: Get to work yourself figuring it out. Computers: deadline Friday, the 10th. |
