What are we doing:
All students will work on individual assignments and turn in by the end of class on Friday their first research assignment. During class time students on computers will work on O'Ryan on mini tutorial💻. Students in drawing will work on collage art. Why are we doing this: Students in computers need more support for such a challenging first project in computers. Students in drawing need time work on their projects. How are we doing this: Students will work with O'Ryan for some small group instruction in hopes they can solve this new challenge. Students in drawing will continue working on their collage, remembering the rules of composition and art elements/principles of design. Remember: do not put focal points/important parts of the composition in THE MIDDLE.

What are we doing:
All students will work on individual assignments. Students on computers will work on O'Ryan on mini tutorial💻. Students in drawing can work on collage art or first research project. Why are we doing this: Studenta in computers need more support for such a challenging first project in computers. Students in drawing need time with the computers to start research project or research collage ideas. How are we doing this: Students will work with O'Ryan for some small group instruction in hopes they can solve this new challenge. What are we doing:Why are we doing it:Students in drawing need inspiration for ideas. Ideas don't just come from blank pieces of paper...they need to do research. What is your theme? What do you want to say through your collage...don't know? Well, let's go find some inspiration. Students in Computers need to figure out the basic tools of PS: move, transform, lowering/raising opacity, working with layers...in order to be successful with the program. How are we doing it:Drawing: Collage inspiration can start here. Or here. Or here. Create a pinterest account on your phone and begin pinning ideas. Computers: Give the tutorial another shot. I got through it and here is my example. Read over the instructions and at least get this started. If you start, I will work with you on Monday. For the weekend: Read over the Research section of the website as you will start on this Monday. What are we doing today:Students will be split into two groups: 1. Drawing 2. Computers Students will begin work on assignments for each group, found on the website. Why are we doing this:There are not enough computers for every student, so the class will be split into two sections. Half way through the semester, the groups will switch and students will work on the assignments in the opposite group. How are we doing this:What are we doing:Finish creating our online portfolios, and reviewing former student portfolios. Why are we doing this:By having an online portfolio, this will allow you to: 1. Display all work completed on an online platform for grading. 2. This allows others in class to collaborate and learn from your work. 3. Marketing and Networking opportunities for yourself and GWHS How are we doing this:Using www.weebly.com, set up your website, account is your school email with the same password to your email and should include the following pages:
1. Home 2. Contact 3. Research: you will need a layout that includes 6 ways of displaying the 6 artists you will study. 4. Projects: you will need pages set up inside this one that have the following: a. Collage Art b. Printmaking Map Portraits c. Three Mini Tutorials d. Who am I? e. Social Commentary 5. Once completed, give Ms. O'Ryan your url to your site for final grade. Goals:
All students will have created their own individual website for this class, to store all artwork and research. Get on www.weebly.com. Use your student email ([email protected]: birthdate) and create an account. On your site, you need to following pages: 1. Home 2. Projects 3. Research 4. Contact (on this page, use your email as a source of contact. Do not use your last name please.) Please follow along with Ms. O'Ryan as she shows you how to set up various pages and styles. Please create a site that is inspiration for your needs, similar to your personality style.
Objective for the class:
By the end of class, students will have: 1) had some fun 2) reviewed expectations for the class 3) demonstrated that they have been learning some things in here... 4) competed against their teammates and won! Agenda: I believe we need to take a quick pause on drawing today and play a game. Form groups of three. One person needs a cell phone. 1. Form groups of 3 2. One cell phone needed. 3. Choose team name 4. Go to Kahoot.it 5. Enter code 6. Type in your team name and teammates names Objective: students will not think of the Girl as the "Girl"...but rather an image full of shapes of different sizes, various lines, and colors. Keep it simple!
Goals: By the end of class, all students will have filled in the entire form with color and values! Grab some pencils and oil pastel today. Let's have some fun and begin add color and value to our image.
Get back out our pencils and pastels to master the drawing of the girl with Headphones. Before getting started, answer the Padlet Question of the Day.
What are we thinking about today: proportion value color line size shape Put all these together and our girl becomes amazing. |
